Gail Mirabella and The Dynamo Dogs

Gail Mirabella and The Dynamo Dogs perform all over the country with their entertaining dog variety act. The Dynamo Dogs are veteran performing dogs and they demonstrate everything from trick dog show routines to Frisbee® dog acrobatics. Gail and her talented dogs have appeared on Late Night with David letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Good Morning America, The Today Show and many other national and regional television shows. Through a unique combination of Gail’s circus and competitive disc dog experience she has built a truly one-of-a-kind canine variety show featuring her outstanding Dynamo Dogs!

 

AKC Canine Good Citizen Testing

AKC Canine Good Citizen testing will be offered at the Pet Expo  on Saturday, March. 12 at  3:15 PM and Sunday March 13 at 2:30 PM  All breeds and mixed breeds are welcome. Basic manners and obedience skills will be tested on dogs who are friendly and not aggressive.   Dogs must be clean and in good health and at least 6 months of age.  Owners will be asked to sign a form attesting to “responsible dog ownership.” Please bring small brush to be used on your dog during the testing.  If your dog passes, you will be given a form to mail to the AKC who will then send you a beautiful gold-sealed Certificate which you may want to frame Registration  will be at the show at the Information Booth.  Cost for testing will be $10 per dog. Or $5 for AKC Trick Dog

DOGLOVERSDAYS Lure Course


Your dog will have a blast running the lure course. Your family dog can let loose and be a star as they have fun running the agility lure course. A fee will be charged.

 

The International Cat Association Cat Show

Hosted by the Central Jersey Cat Fanciers. A TICA sanctioned cat show will be held at the Greater Philadelphia Pet Expo. See the usual and not so usual breeds of cats competing for the blue ribbon!

Johnny Peers and the Muttville Comix

Sit! Stay! Get ready to howl! Johnny Peers and his personality-plus canines are coming to tickle your funny bone! A Ringling Brothers Clown College graduate, Johnny Peers has been working with dogs since he got his first puppy, Freckles from the Humane Society in 1972. Since their 1980 debut, the Muttville Comix have appeared on David Letterman, Primetime Live and Circus of the Stars, and at Disneyland, Bush Gardens, the Big Apple Circus and the White House!

A show for the whole family and the dog lover in all of us, the show stars mostly dogs rescued from shelters or pounds, like Daphne, the world’s only skateboarding Basset Hound; Squeaky, the ladder climbing Fox Terrier, Mr. Pepe who only responds to commands in Spanish! A truly funny, slapstick dog act.
 

Neverland K9 Dog Training Demonstration


Let us teach you how Timing, motivation, and consultancy are the 3 keys to dog training. We will show you how they are applied during training to make you and your dog a team. Training is a team activity that needs to have willing participants that know the rules of the game. We will then show how the relationship can be continued into activity with a nose work demonstration. 

Rabbit Hopping


Presented by Alikatt’s Bunnies. Join Adventure Bunny and Friends showing off their agility skills and rabbit hopping skills. They clear jumps similar to a horse show jumping. Fun for everyone including our bunnies! Please keep dogs away from the demonstration our bunnies don’t know your pups mean no harm to them. Between shows we will have a guinea pig agility course open to the public for a nominal fee

Rainforest Reptile Shows

We’re back!! Once again Rainforest Reptile Shows will be visiting The Family Pet Expo.Co- founders Michael Ralbovsky and Joaney Gallagher along with their staff will be bringing along somewonderfully fascinating animals. All of the animals appearing are obtained through confiscations from Fishand Wildlife, law enforcement and some are just unwanted pets… They are receiving a second lease onlife at our 501 c 3 animal sanctuary RRS Oasis. We will provide presentations daily and you may evenhave an opportunity to take photo. The staff is glad to answer all your animal questions with over  100years of combined experience!Which came first?? The alligator or the egg?  This unique program brings you from the alligator throughtheir life stages all the way to FRED! If haven’t meet Fred here is your chance. If you have check out hisfriends and hear their stories. This is a fun and educational presentation for all ages about this oftenmisunderstood reptile .


Beyond Imagination Alpaca Ranch


The softest, cutest, most cuddly critter that you will ever meet. You can see colorful, gentle alpacas at the area where you can meet them up close an personal, and have the opportunity to feel what’s been called the “softest fiber” in the world-baby alpaca fleece! There will be an educational display where you can learn about these beautiful animals.

Barnes Yard Petting Zoo and Pony Rides

 

The kids will have a great time seeing the animals in the petting zoo and going on the pony rides! There is an additional fee.

Flyball Tournament

The Greater Philadelphia Pet Expo will be having the exciting sport of Flyball again at the show this year.The Hard Drive Flyball Club will be hosting a Flyball Tournament at the Pet Expo – they will do demonstrations on Friday night and the Tournament will take place Saturday and Sunday.

Flyball is a dog sport in which teams of dogs race against each other from a start/finish line, over a line of hurdles, to a box that releases a tennis ball to be caught when the dog presses the spring loaded pad, then back to their handlers while carrying the ball. Flyball is run in teams of four dogs, as a relay.
